David Lamkins picked up his first guitar a long time ago. As best he can recall the year was 1967: the year of the Summer of Love. Four decades later David has conjured up an amalgam of folk, rock and jazz solo guitar music for the occasional intimate Portland audience.

Behringer FCB-1010

The Behringer FCB-1010 is a programmable MIDI controller. The manual is brief. One quick read of the manual gave me the gist of the programming process; reference to the provided flow chart got me through the first attempt. I find it quite easy to program the FCB-1010 - all the switches are labelled with their programming functions and the actual flow is easy to remember.

The FCB-1010 should be OK for most applications where you can live with being able to send up to five program changes, two control changes and one note per preset. The display has only two digits; there's no facility to display the current patch name.
