Unreachable aroot

At the moment, traceroute to aroot goes from here to qwest.net to cw.net 
and peters out at embratel-fapesp.newyork.cw.net (204.189.136.154).

seems as if the last announce considered valid by this part of the routing 
system was the brazilian one. Yesterday it was the Switch one.

(question: how do we want to watch this thing?
I could probably set up a script to do traceroute + logging every hour from 
a server here, and run stats on where the traces go - but how interesting 
is it?
discussion topic, bar in Pittsburgh?)
