access to ITU-T and ETSI standards and contributions online

FYI, below are a number of links to ITU-T and ETSI transport network
related webpages, which contain published standards, draft standards,
contributions and correspondence.

ITU-T published recommendations can be downloaded from
http://www.itu.int/itudoc/itu-t/rec/index.html

ITU-T pre-published recommendations can be downloaded from
http://www.itu.int/itudoc/itu-t/approved/

ITU-T recommendations are not available for free. Several alternatives
exist to get a recommendation. You find this described at
http://www.itu.int/ITU-T/publications/order.html

ITU-T draft recommendations and correspondence documents are available
via the web pages of the individual Questions (e.g. Q.9/15 for PDH, SDH
and OTN equipment and protection switching
http://ties.itu.int/u/tsg15/sg15/wp3/q9/, Q.11/15 for PDH, SDH and OTN
rates and formats
http://ties.itu.int/u/tsg15/sg15/wp3/q11/q11_index.htm)
Access is limited to TIES registered users. Information on TIES can be
found at http://www.itu.int/TIES/

The TIES root directory is at http://ties.itu.int/u/
Each Study Group (SG) has a subdirectory; e.g. SG15 subdirectory is at
http://ties.itu.int/u/tsg15/sg15/
Within each SG subdirectory you will find a directory for Temporary
Documents (td) containing all documents generated during the last
meeting, and directories for each Working Party (wp). E.g. SG15 WP3 is
at http://ties.itu.int/u/tsg15/sg15/wp3/
Each WP has a number of Questions (q). E.g. SG15 WP3 Q14 is at
http://ties.itu.int/u/tsg15/sg15/wp3/q14/
Questions organise their pages often per meeting date (e.g. 0102) and
per recommendation (e.g. G.ndisc).

A TIES registered user can also access the contributions and reports for
Study Group meetings at http://www.itu.int/itudoc/itu-t/ E.g. SG15
contributions/reports can be found at
http://www.itu.int/itudoc/itu-t/com15/index.html

ETSI publiscations can be downloaded (for free) from
http://webapp.etsi.org/pda/QueryForm.asp
ETSI uses a search engine to get to the standard. E.g. a search for
"SDH" will give you all SDH related standards.
