Hi Guys:

I know we can use the addresses from the IP packet for this
use.. unless the source IP address is changed in the middle
by things like NAT ( :-) ).

But if you look at protocols like RSVP or OSPF - they have
sufficient information in their PDUs to do the demultiplexing.
For example, RSVP sender template and OSPF router ID (in the
common message header) can do this job.

Don't you think it is worth following the path taken by the
experianced guys.. and put some demux informtion in the LMP
PDU itself?
