In my experience, the market prefers a single standard with competing
implementations.
To quote Yakov from a recent post to the MPLS list, "The fact that
in the IETF there are not one, but two link-state IGPs (OSPF and ISIS) is
a bug, and not a feature.", and "The same applies for MPLS
signalling (CR-LDP vs RSVP)."
