GMPLS Protection and Restoration Team - Status Report

ccamp'ers,

the progress of the GMPLS Protection and Restoration team were
as follows since the last ietf54 meeting:

- clarify definition on Full versus Partial Span Recovery Switching

=> still to be provided: the definitions of protection and 
   restorations schemes (to be delivered when other documents 
   settled)

- text clarification and alignment (section 1 to 4) 
- new sub-section 5.1 Transport vs. Control Plane Responsibilities
  as discussed during last june, this has been now agreed
- review of section 6 (normalization/reversion) most of the input
  came from itu/t1 contribution and incorporated in this i-d for
  alignment 
- new sub-section 8.4.2 on Resource Sharing and Diversity (was
  missing between resource sharing and admission control issues)

=> most of the targeted items for a first phase have been tackled
   closing the last meeting decisions (we have enough for a first
   phase) the conclusion will be delivered in terms of a summary 
   wrt to additional gmpls control plane mechanisms

- discussions on bulk recovery scheme and related functional
  signalling aspects (notification, switching request/response)

=> basis for the signalling specification (to be submitted
   after the ietf55 meeting)
