This document is the product of the Common Control and Measurement Plane 
Working Group. 

The IESG contact persons are Alex Zinin and Bill Fenner.

Technical Summary
 
   This document is a companion to the Generalized MPLS (GMPLS) 
   signaling documents. It describes the technology specific 
   information needed to extend GMPLS signaling to control Optical 
   Transport Networks (OTN); it also includes the so-called pre-OTN 
   developments.  
 
Working Group Summary
 
   The WG had a consensus on advancing this document.
 
Protocol Quality
 
  Alex Zinin reviewed this document for the IESG.
  There is at least one implementation of the described mechanisms.
