hi par,
one of the possibilities that has been considered to cope with this requirement is to use a dedicated TPID for the Ethernet labeled frames; this would allow differentiated processing with non-labeled frames
thanks,

Subject: Frameformat in a l2cs gmpls rnvironment.
Hi all.
After reading the draft
(draft-papadimitriou-ccamp-gmpls-ethernet-framework-00.txt) and thinking
for awhile on different ways to implementing this, i was wondering what
alternatives there is for the framformat for this. I understand that one
option is using TPID=8100, but what became of the lokal significant label,
and that all switches should be able to switch current ethernet format at
the same time. How to distinguish between GMPLS and VLAN ?
Do anybody have any comment on this ?
Regards.
