Re: Distribution CPG Protocol



So this is a list of IP blocks that the CDN is willing to serve (eg for 
global CDNs it would be "*") rather than any type of advertisement of 
proximity to blocks.

Playing devil's advocate, I'm wondering two things:
1) How useful this data is in a negotiation scenario: CDN A might offer to 
serve any client worldwide, but it only has surrogates in the Far East.
2) How likely this is to change rapidly; if it's a relatively static 
parameter, could it just be done offline?

Basically, is there a lot to be gained from negotiating this online rather 
than offline?
