Folks,

It's come to my attention that at least one person on the list interpreted
this message as a personal attack against himself.  It was not my intent
that the message be interpreted as directed specifically to any one person, 
or even as a direct response to any specific message in this thread. 
(and the message was addressed only to the list and not to any specific person).

I apologize for my failure to make that adequately clear.
