Re: patent language for all drafts

note that this is counter to the IETF standards process

if someone has a claim about IPR related to an Internet draft
they should send a note about that to iesg-secretary@ietf.org
and include the following words in the ID

"The IETF has been notified of intellectual property rights
claimed in regard to some or all of the specification contained
in this document. For more information consult the online list
         of claimed rights."

notes about specific IPR should not be included in IDs or RFCs

see RFC 2026

Abbie,
Mark,

In the event that it's decided to include specific language in the individual
drafts, please add the following statement to the Requirements and Known
Mechanisms drafts:

"AT&T has pending patent applications and intellectual property that may
relate to this proposal."

Thanks,

Fred
