Why would they? Chinese speakers would like to use Chinese characters
when communicating with other Chinese speakers, but when they're
communicating with non-Chinese speakers, Chinese characters are pretty
useless. What symbols would they choose to use then? Do you think
there are some symbols other than the Latin letters and Arabic numerals
that would be easier for them?
