Sorry, this probably flunks the "I see it on a card or screen and
don't know what script it is in" test.
Abcß.com (German script, i.e., Latin-1 subset of 10646) =
Abcss.com but acß.com (Greek script and a few others) = acß.com
(or maybe acb.com :-) ) and we are in huge trouble if it gets
coerced to acss.com.
And, to pick on your example for amusement value, ß.com (Greek)
is significantly more likely to occur in nature than ß.com
(German).
