Although my draft is not ready to be
released until Aug 14, the following should provide some insight as to how it
may work...
Currently the English system uses ".com", ".net",
"org", etc as the TLD. The purpose of such a symbology is to represent a
company, a network, an organization, etc.. However, for the Chinese
culture, the concept of the ".com" representing a company takes a back seat to
the much more important need for TLDs to represent Traditional Chinese and
Simplified Chinese. (Imagine the use of the ccTLDs ".tc" and ".sc" to
serve such a purpose.)
In the <idn>.<idn> system, the Chinese
culture will benefit with TLDs of <idn>.<traditional> and
<idn>.<simplified>.
The word "traditional" in traditional Chinese
is "繁體" (7E41)(9AD4)
The word "traditional" in simplified Chinese is "繁体" (7E41)(4F53)
The word "simplified" in simplified Chinese is "简体"
(7B80)(4F53)
The word "simplified" in traditional Chinese is "簡體" (7C21)(9AD4)
I have registered the domains (繁體.cn, 簡體.cn,
繁体.cn, 简体.cn) under my company in China called "Notneb Company". I have
already express my intentions to CNNIC and I just want to make it a public
statement for the record- "if the domains are indeed to become TLDs as I
would like, I plan to donate them back to CNNIC where I believe they can do a
much better job than I to benefit the Chinese culture."
It is not a straight forward concept as there must
be a relationship between the ".<traditional>" and the
".<simplified>" TLDs. The techniques will be detailed in my
draft.
