why would it make the standard useless?
I think the "standard" is a standard way of processing mapping of SC=TC
(this is almost independent of DNS), but with the background of issues
pertaining DNS in mind.
it will be used by TLDs who wish to adopt it and not by those who dont... A
lot of standards have options...??...
if we force it into nameprep, then it would mean that all TLDs must adopt
it. Also, it means that I can't have <net in TC>.domain.example go to one
IP and <net in SC>.domain.example go to another one, even if I own
domain.example.
