Re: [idn] Future of the requirements document

Eric,

As John pointed out on Dec 10 it was the ADs and technical advisors
that (reluctantly) recommended that the WG abandon the requirements document.

While the initial process that lead to the requirements draft where quite
useful by developping a common way to talk about things and a common
understanding of the issues around the DNS, it isn't obvious to me that
investing the WG cycles to get closure on all aspects of the requirements
draft would be worth the effort.

I yet haven't seen an email explaining how the WG would *use* a requirements
document moving forward given that the document
hasn't been used as a reference when analysing proposals so far.
(The requirements in the document have been used but not by actually
referring to the document.)
