ipv6 generic taddress definitions

The IPv6 MIB design team has produced a document which provides an
initial set of generic TDomain/TAddress (see RFC 2579) definitions.

: Title : Textual Conventions for Transport Addresses
: Author(s) : M. Daniele, J. Schoenwaelder
: Filename : draft-ops-taddress-mib-00.txt
: Pages : 15
: Date : 30-May-00
:
: This document contains a MIB module for commonly used transport
: layer addressing information. It defines a registry for identifiers
: that identify protocols and a set of textual conventions for
: representing addresses. This document also establishes IANA as the
: maintainer of this registry.

The general idea is to move away from having protocol semantics
associated with TDomains. Instead, a TDomain is just identifying an
addressing domain. The concrete TDomain/TAddress definitions cover
UDP/TCP over IPv4/IPv6, POSIX Local IPC sockets (better known as Unix
domain sockets) and a bunch of other domains which were copied from
RFC 1906.

We would like to move this forward quickly since some other MIBs are
waiting to actually use these definitions. So please review the
document and share your comments. Note especially the open issues list
at the end. We certainly like to get input on them.

We also need to find experts for the domains we are not familiar with
in order to verify that the definitions are valid. So if you happen to
be or know an OSI, Appletalk or IPX guru, please let us know.

[There are two known bugs in the "Posix Local IPC address" and "Scoped
IPv6 address on port 80" examples. They are already fixed and you do
 not need to report them.]
