Re: Retiring as MIB Doctor

Can I just add, not only my thanks to Mike, but to *all*
the MIB Doctors. It really is one of the best review machines we
have running in the IETF, and of immense value.

Also, of course, best wishes for the New Year.

Mike, THANK YOU very very much for the large amount of work you have
done for the IETF and for our NM related activities in particular.

Specifically I'd like to thank you for your work over the last few years,
where I knew your day-job had nothing to do with NM or IETF related
work and yet you did contribute a lot with your reviews and comments.

As we agreed, I am OK with keeping you as a "lurker" on our list.
(secretely hoping that some day you'll see something that gets you
to review some document again ;-), sorry, could not resist.).

Again, THANKS and all the best.

Subject: Retiring as MIB Doctor

MIB Doctors,

I would like to let you all know that once I get current commitments
taken care of (basically, getting known errata for RFC 4181 posted
on the RFC Editor's web site) I will be retiring from active
participation as a MIB Doctor. I have not been involved
professionally with network management for over two years, and I'm
finding it very difficult to find time and motivation to do a good
job of MIB Doctor reviews. Under the circumstances I think it is
best that I step down. Bert has agreed, however, to keep me
subscribed to the mreview list, so I can listen in and see what you
are up to.

With best regards to all,

Mike Heard
