We have MacAddress which might be applicable or PhysAddress both
defined in RFC 2579. IEEE folks should tell us what really the right
choice is given the number of IEEE 802.* we have.

I believe the technical content still applies. I expect the editorial
boilerplate updates to 1089 to take more space than the technical
addition we have to do to get SNMP over Ethernet aligned to the SNMPv3
standard.
