Actually, multi-addressing does not in itself introduce a way of
changing addresses. There are lots of applications that will do just
fine with a simple strategy of picking one of the multiple addresses and
using it for the duration of the association. The proper statement is
that multi-addressing, combined with a procedure to dynamically change
the addresses used in an association, can provide additional benefits,
such as using redundancy for surviving network re-homing events.
