Please do me a favor and design the protocol to be secure in ways you
don't imagine it being used today. Because it will be used in new
ways whether you want it to or not. Every protocol is. Heck,
consider HTTP which was designed entirely for public access web
servers but is now being used to configure NETWORK devices.
