I think this helps a lot, since it permits agent developers to use
off-the-shelf code with little or no modification. The downside
is that management applications would probably be written to
work with the minimum subset, and not take advantage of
the additional features.
Would it make sense for there to be a capability that indicates
whether the filter support is the basic subset or full Xpath?
(If absent, the assumption would be "basic subset.")
