Request for review of draft-salowey-radext-delegated-prefix-01.txt
At IETF 64, Ralph Droms, co-chair of DHC WG, gave a presentation describing
operational problems that have been found when RFC 3162 is deployed along
with DHCPv6 prefix delegation (RFC 3633). These issues have been affecting
on-going deployments of IPv6, so that there is an urgent need to address
them.
To fix the problem, Ralph has worked with Joe Salowey:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-salowey-radext-delegated-prefix-01.txt
The RADEXT WG is requested to review this document, as well as RFC 3162.
Questions to ask include:
* Is this document a suitable basis for deployment of IPv6 prefix
delegation?
* Is it compatible with RFC 3162?
* Do the operational problems that have arisen required any changes to RFC
3162, or is this document sufficient?
