Where (b) refers to a self-consistent product upgrade, with a minimal
learning curve and (a) refers to a new product, with a steep learning
curve.
I would have thought the same thing, that rational product vendors would
create a Diameter server product, integrated with RADIUS capabilities,
that re-uses the human interface design of their RADIUS server product.
