  The only part of the Status-Server behavior that does not go back to
2001 is the suggestion that it contain a Message-Authenticator
attribute.  That requirement was added to FreeRADIUS in Feb 2007, before
the RADEXT WG discussion on re-chartering.

  This appears to fall with the "documenting current practices" guidelines.
