Well, I've never seen real clients do requests of type ANY. Also, how does this work with regard to caching? Does a caching server know it has all the records so it doesn't have to bother the authoritative server?
PS: BTW all infos which don't depend on where is the guy asking for will ultimately finish in the DNS...
