Question about class_type

Hello all,

1) In the RFC 3272, there is new term "class-type" that groups the som classes share some aggregate constraint.
What is the aggregate constraint ? could you give other examples without maximum bandwidth requirement.

I don't know the meaning aggregate constraint, especially the maximum bandwidth requirement.
As far as I understanding, 
when the maximum bandwidth requirement constraint is adopted, the individual class in a class-type can
share the link capacity, doesn't it ?

2) Why does RFC use "class-type" concept ?
