Which is exactly what we (SixXS) do, we actually let the user pick a
'preferred' POP, then measure their latency from the POPs to the
selected
IP and then we select onto which POP they go.

This, the signup process, will be done completely automatically
soon(tm).

Mind you that TSP servers can already do it, wether they really
do so I don't know though. Multiple TB's are implemented in their
system though.

If all is well the client should get a notification of the server
controlling
this system that:
 - it could not connect to the server.
 - it is not allowed to serv.
 - packets can't apparently reach the endpoint.
   (If you can't ping6 the remote endpoint the 6in4 path is broken)

etc.. so this could also all be done automatically.
