Re: Review of draft-ietf-v6ops-nap-02.txt
I realize that just how many addresses are
available for allocation is important, and has apparently struck a nerve in the
WG, but can we stop with the mathmatical discussion about how many
addresses there are part of the review of
draft-ietf-v6ops-nap-02.txt.
This draft is not about how many addresses there
are but only referenced the fact that there were a lot and that NAT is not part
of IPv6.
If there needs to be a discussion about address
pools and their sizes, can we change the subject to be "How many addresses are
there" or some such and leave this one to be a discussion of the merits and
flaws of this speciffic draft.
As one of the co-authors I am loosing the flow of
what needs to be changed in the side topic (and multiple e-mails) related to
questions about numbering and renumbering.
Thanks,
Eric
