Re: 6to4 connectivity test



As I wrote privately, the 6to4 blackholes are responding to ICMP just fine. They just don't forward IPv6 from some networks (not others).

I've already mentioned in private email but will re-iterate here. This is a problem caused by the CPE (the Airport in this case) not erring on the side of caution. These devices really need to leave 6to4 disabled and not allow autoconfiguration unless they can verify there is a reachable 6to4 relay.

Perhaps in a revised spec it can INSIST on the pingability of the 6to4 relay so that CPEs can perform a keepalive check in determining whether to keep IPv6 autoconfiguration enabled.
