Thanks for this catch. We will remove the sentence you asked to be
nuked.
We missed the fact that some LAN interfaces may be USB or some new LAN
port types.

The sentence at the end of section 1, Introduction, which reads, "Each
LAN interface is Ethernet encapsulated," should be elided altogether.
