changing direction of motion (up/down) in summary?

Hi again list!

I know, I have lots of questions...  I'm loving wl, using it right now
to plow through my bloated inbox; but the direction of motion through
the messages in the summary mode keeps changing.  By this I mean that,
when I mark a message, I expect point to move one line down to the
next messgae; but sometimes it only wants to go up.  I imagine this is
because I have accidentally hit a keybinding;but I don't see one
described in the documentation that would have this effect.  So: do
folks out there know what's going on,and is there a way to
change it back?
