Any thoughts? +1 for a rework of the EmacsWiki page. Maybe we could define the goal of a quickstart guide to be as follows: After following the steps outlined in the guide the reader is capable of reading messages in a single IMAP account and sending messages via SMTP. Reading and sending messages includes dealing with MIME messages. Things to cover for this: - download and install WL and the required libraries - setting up folders w/o touching folders, maybe with a quick note about relative (elmo-*-default-*) and absolute folder notation. - setting up a SMTP connection - adding attachments - reading attachments (view, play, mime-situations, mailcap) The main entry page should rather link to a quickstart guide and (if present) other topics of general interests (out of my head): message filters (filter and multi folders), multiple mail identities, known glitches and bugs.
