Problems marking regions

Hi there,

I quite often have problems marking large regions of text in
wl-draft-mode buffers by using (set-mark-command) (C-SPC) followed by
(end-of-buffer) (M->). The cursor moves to the end of the buffer, but
it seems to forget the initial mark. I notice it most in wl-draft
buffers (when I'm removing large swaths of top posted rubbish), but it
*may* also occur in some other modes, I'm afraid I can't quite recall
and can't reproduce it reliably. It's not consistent, but it is quite
frequent.

Does anyone else experience this? Any thoughts on what's going on?
