Oh, I see - the reason this discussion was confusing was, 
I thought the proposal was to require the USE of S/MIME or PGP
for postings on this list! Assuming that spammers would not be 
sending digitally signed spam...

I guess I'm curious whether there's an existing authentication model that we
could use on this list, that would not allow spammers to post, even if 
they are willing to sign their spam...
