RE: Last Call **Revised**: 'Using AES CCM Mode With IPsec ESP' to Proposed Standard

IESG:

The IANA has reviewed the following Internet-Draft which is
in Last Call: <draft-ietf-ipsec-ciph-aes-ccm-04.txt>, and
has the following comments with regards to the publication of
this document:

In section 7.3 it says the following:

7.3. Phase 2 Identifier

   For IKE Phase 2 negotiations, IANA has assigned three ESP Transform
   Identifiers for AES-CCM with an explicit IV:

      <TBD1> for AES-CCM with an 8 octet ICV;
      <TBD2> for AES-CCM with a 12 octet ICV; and
      <TBD3> for AES-CCM with a 16 octet ICV.

Yet in the IANA considerations section it says:

11.  IANA Considerations

   IANA has assigned nine ESP transform numbers for use with AES-CCM
   with an explicit IV:

      <TBD1> for AES-CCM with an 8 octet ICV;
      <TBD2> for AES-CCM with a 12 octet ICV; and
      <TBD3> for AES-CCM with a 16 octet ICV.

Should it say "three" instead of "nine"?

We understand these registrations will go in the
following registry, under the heading
"IPSEC ESP Transform Identifiers":

Please respond to the IANA about our concerns with regards to this
