BTW, I looked at the script that Dan found and decided to implement one
of the author's wishlist items: a CGI script that munges mailman admin
pages and sets the default for spam items to discard.  The important
parts (the munging of the mailman-generated HTML) are done and can be
seen at

but it's not quite done (in that it doesn't actually run as a CGI
script yet).
