Subject: Protocol Action: 'Definitions of Textual Conventions for
Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Management' to Proposed
Standard
The IESG has approved the Internet-Drafts 'Definitions of Textual
Conventions for Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Management'
<draft-ietf-mpls-tc-mib-09.txt> as a Proposed Standard, and 'Multiprotocol
Label Switching (MPLS) Management Overview'
<draft-ietf-mpls-mgmt-overview-08.txt> as an Informational RFC. These
documents are products of the Multiprotocol Label Switching Working Group.
The IESG contact persons are Alex Zinin and Bert Wijnen.
Technical Summary
The documents describe a MIB module with Textual Conventions to represent
commonly used MPLS management information that would be used in other MPLS
related MIB modules, as well as the management architecture for MPLS
that indicates the inter-relationships between the different MIB modules
used for MPLS network management.
Working Group Summary
There was a WG consensus to advance these documents
Protocol Quality
The documents have been reviewed for the IESG by Bert Wijnen
