   <draft-ietf-ipsec-rfc2402bis-04.txt> as a Proposed Standard

This document is the product of the IP Security Protocol Working Group. 

The IESG contact persons are Russ Housley and Steve Bellovin.

Technical Summary
 
  This document describes an updated version of the IP Authentication
  Header (AH), which is designed to provide authentication services in
  IPv4 and IPv6.  This obsoletes RFC 2402, which was published in
  November 1998.
 
Working Group Summary
 
  The IPsec Working Group came to consensus on this document.
 
Protocol Quality
 
  This document was reviewed by Russell Housley for the IESG.
