draft-ietf-sigtran-signalling-over-sctp-applic-09.txt
Nits:
3.2.1
"Therefore, this strategy should never be used
in public Internet."--on the public Internet?
4.
"Access Signalling: This is the signalling that is needed between and
access device and an exchange in the core network in order to"
--> an access device
4.4
"Each of the applications using SUA has their own set of
timing requirements that can be found in their respective
standards documents."
A pointer to the relevant SS7 doc set would be valuable, if there
is a stable reference we can provide.
Comment:
The security considerations section mentions that TLS is considered
an alternative to IPSEC for SIGTRAN protocols in certain scenarios.
A pointer to 3436 would probably be a useful informative reference
here, especially since it describes some of the interactions which
a SIGTRAN deployment might wish to consider (multi-homing and
fragmentation among them).
