Re: Direction on ID/Loc separation, route scaling and multihoming
For those who haven't seen the forwarded msg in one place or another -
it's a grass roots (no AD/WG chairs) discussion. The organizing group
also seemed to be talking about MAST and a bit about HIP (I saw a
a few messages third hand). We do have some growing interests around
changes in locator/id behavior.

Date: Thu, 6 Nov 2003 23:35:57 +0100
Dear all,
the final agenda of the IETF next week has been published.
There is an growing interest in Transport Layer Mobility (TLM). Two new
transport
layer protocols (DCP and SCTP) can be used to provide this
functionality. There
were also extensions to TCP suggest to provide such a functionality.
The goal of the meeting is to see if there is interest in discussing
problems
common to all the transport layers. Problem areas include NATs,
security, locating
mobile servers and so on. This list can be extended. If some people
have other
suggestions that is also fine.
Please forward this mail to any other people you might think are
interested in this
area and would like to attent the meeting.
Suggested date and place: Tuesday, 8pm at the information desk.
Please let me know if you are planning to attend, have further
suggestions and so on.
There is also a mailing list that can be used for discussions:
mobile@sctp.de
You can use
http://www.sctp.de/mailman/listinfo/mobile
to subscribe to the list.
Best regards
Michael
