Professor Littman received his B.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University and an M.Litt. from Oxford. He is the author of numerous books and articles, including The Greek Experiment: Imperialism and Social Conflict: 800-400 B.C., Jewish History in 100 Nutshells, "Epidemiology of the Plague of Athens," "The Menetekel Inscription in Rembrandt's Belshezzar's Feast," "Medicine in Alexandria," "Athens, Persia and the Book of Ezra," and "Aids and AAA in Egypt?" His current major projects include Mummies of Bahariya Oasis; archaeological excavations in Egypt; digital edition Codex Sinaiticus with British Library; translation of Sophocles; and commentaries on Septuagint Apocrypha.
