WiMAX Forum needs IEEE 802.16 NAS port type assignment for Release 1 (which is planned to be finalized within a month). It'd be appreciated if the IANA assignment process can be expedited.
As Dave noted, there is no problem with this request, which was discussed on the RADEXT WG list quite a while ago, as well as at IETF 67.
