RE: CCAMP WG Last Call on GMPLS Routing Documents
Hi Suresh, I brought up some of the bandwidth accounting issues and I
thought Eric and Dimitri Papadimitriou brought this up again in a SONET/SDH
specific draft.
I don't recall the discussion concluding...

Subject: Re: CCAMP WG Last Call on GMPLS Routing Documents
These routing documents do not cover many SONET/SDH cases at all.
Even though it is generic routing, SONET/SDH is included in these and
do not take care of TSI (Time Slot Interchangable) issues and protection
related issues.
Here is the list of issues:
1. Certain links are TSI capable - and certain are not. In this case, one
needs to know the group of nodes that belong to this category (e.g.
Ring ID for BLSR ) so that one can do path computation properly.
2. How to advertise bandwidth on Non-TSI links? Since one need to use
same labels (time slots ) on all these links, one has to know all available
time slots or advertise virtual links (pt-2-pt links) between all these
nodes.
Was there any discussion on these documents?
Thanks,
Suresh
