Evaluation of various ACEs with Hangeul Domain Names

Abstract
This document explains about result of applying various ACEs to ex
isting Hangeul Domain Names and considers which ACE is appropriate
to Hangeul Domain Names.
1. The test data composition
The data for this ACE test consist of two lists.
- 1000 Hageul domain names
- 1000 real Korean company names.
- 1000 web site names
(Company Names and Web site names are very strong Hangeul
Domain Name Candidates)
Hangeul Domain Names consist of at least 2 characters
Hangeul Domain Names Names may include letters, digits and
hyphens, but at least 1 Hangeul character.
The following result shows the distribution of Hangeul Domain

RACE-03, BRACE-00, LACE-01, UTF-6-00, DUDE-02, AMC-ACE-M-00,
AltDUDE-01, AMC-ACE-O-00, AMC-ACE-R-01 with nameprep-03.
The input encoding method was Hangeul local encoding (EUC-KR).

5. Conclusion
For Hangeul Domain Name, AME-ACE-M seems to be the best choice,
if we think the length is more important than the conversion speed.
DUDE may be a good choice if the ACEed length of Hangeul Domain Name
can be shortened.
