Bert,
Please pass the MIB onto those who can assist you with the review. However, please don't post it on a public site without password.
The comment deadline is today, however, we may be able to review your late comments since our review is at meeting starting April 21st.
Thanks again,
Glenn.

RE: Personal

Recirculation
OK Glenn, this was/is better.
SMICng tells me:
W: f(p802.17_D3_2_MIB.mi2), (24,5)
MODULE-IDENTITY rprMib should have at least one REVISION clause
E:
f(p802.17_D3_2_MIB.mi2), (1423,14) Default value for "rprFairnessRampCoef" is
outside allowed range
E: f(p802.17_D3_2_MIB.mi2), (1442,14) Default value for "rprFairnessLpCoef" is
outside allowed range
SMIlint tells me:
E:\smi\mibs\ietf>..\..\bin\smilint -l 6 -m -s -inamelength-32
RPR-MIB
.\RPR-MIB:1413: [2]
{defval-range} default value does not match range restriction of underlying
type
.\RPR-MIB:1426: [2]
{defval-range} default value does not match range restriction of underlying
type
I see various lines that are MUCH longer than 80
characters.
MIB tools can
often deal with it... but in RFCs we try to keep stuff within 72
columns
I still need to check the details/content of the MIB
module.
Tomorrow is 16th...
not sure I can get it done by then.
Can I put the MIB on a web site for
people to FTP from?
So I can
pass to my MIB doctors?
Thanks,
Bert

Bert,
The double and single quotes were the problem. Hopefully, we've fixed them.
Please see the attached.
Thanks,
Glenn.

In both case (the zip file, and the one I downloaded from the WEB
page)
there are MANY MANY non-US_ASCII characters.
All double quotes for
example suffer from that!
Thanks,
Bert

Cool :-)
It's odd that mine says its fine. Maybe it's the zip file it doesn't like?
But anyway, the best way to get the MIB is to pick up the file from the web site that is listed at the bottom of this message.
Thanks for taking the time to review this.
Cheers,
Glenn.

Glen,
The attachment file that you have sent is

Glenn, not sure anyone has answered
yet....
I tried to save the doc and check the MIB
module.
But I have no idea how you have formatted
it.
My normal conversion tools seem unable to convert it in normal
ASCII format.
Can you check and
resend one that I can deal with?
Thanks,
Bert

2nd Recirculation
Gentlemen,
The IEEE 802.17 WG has appreciated the relevant comments that you have made over the past year or so on the MIB for RPR. We believe that we have resolved all the issues that you have raised.
We are currently in a recirculation of our sponsor ballot. It is expected that after this review there will be no further changes in the document leading up to an anticipated June 2004 publication.
As a result, we would appreciate your final review of the MIB for issues (if any :-) before the deadline on April 16th. We will be meeting on April 21-22 to resolve comments.
I have attached the text version of the MIB and a pointer to the webpage holding the document under ballot. NOTE -- please do not forward this password information.
We look forward to your comments.
Cheers,
Glenn
Parsons
RPR OAM Editor & IETF Liaison.
