Well it drives me crazy to see the results of "expert advice"

I've seen MIB modules in RFCs that I wonder who the reviewer
was because I wanted to sit down with them and ask them about
why certain approaches were used.
I believe there is also a slightly different aspect here.
I also have reviewed some documents with which I did not
really believe that the approach taken was the best. However,
if the editors still choose the approach taken, it is my
opinion, I can _ONLY_ block it if it is _WRONG_, but not
because I believe it could be better.
Would you have then any advice on that? I believe as MIB
reviewer, we need to perform a review and fix the really
broken parts and provide advice for improvements, but
we might not enforce our view of the world if the editors
do not like to use the MIB reviewers approach.
But then, even this group has differences of opinion.
In general, what I try to do is provide the most conservative
answer (the one that the most people will agree that it
is OK) rather than the clever answer that many may believe
is broken (even if it is valid).
I guess, your wording is different, but in thought the same.
