[IANA #8510] RE: IF types durring review of EPON-04

All,

For ifTypes, we have been going by the rule of expert review for assignment.
(Keith and Bert were the experts, now Dan is taking Bert's place). Of course part of what
the expert looks for is some type of specification in the application form.
The ifTypes are listed at 2 locations.

<http://www.iana.org/assignments/ianaiftype-mib>
<http://www.iana.org/assignments/smi-numbers>

The file at <http://www.iana.org/assignments/smi-numbers> does list the RFC or the person
who to contact regarding the registration. Instead of a person's name, or along with the
person's name, we could put the reference as well.

I will await further suggestions from Keith and Dan as the experts. For now I'm
administratively closing this ticket as it is not a "request" for a new iftype.

Thanks!

Michelle
