That might form a serious privacy problem, as I mentioned
in an earlier message.

If the source address field semantics is changed to record
the route rather than to contain an address that is filtered,
the problem gets trivially solved.  That change does *not*
change routers that are not aware of the change.  Hence, such
a change can be made incrementally, without any flag days.
