RE: Issue 10.4) <running> Configuration
Sorry to chime in so late on this, I don't think it was necessarily closed
in the interim or in Minneapolis. As a multi-product vendor to the RBOC, IXC
and ILEC markets as well as SP's we have multi-service devices that have
multiple running configs and they are managed in a master/multi-sub agent
environment and cannot be combined to effectively produce a single master
running-config. I don't think this group has addressed the issues of master
to multiple sub-agent environments or multiple running configs and I don't
want to see this constraint eliminate some of the most sophisticated devices
from reaping the benefits of what should prove to be an extensive and
flexible leap forward in configuration management.
thanks,
Tim
